VP165841 - Mount Barker District Council (the Council) invites Tenders from Tenderers for the construction of a new sewer trunk main on the eastern sector of Mount Barker (the Works). The Council will enter into a Contract for Works with the successful Tenderer.

The proposed sewer trunk main will connect the Springbrook development to Council’s existing sewer network at the corner of Sims road and Hartman Road.

The total length of new pipeline is approximately 809 metres through a Greenfield site.

Maintenance holes are fixed by co-ordinates and lie within a 3m wide easement and therefore their location is critical.

Approval from the landowners has been obtained for works to be undertaken outside the easement, however this should be confined as much as possible.

The project includes the supply, construction and reinstatement of the following:
a) 92.60 metres DN500 HDPE pipe
b) 632.74 metres DN400 HDPE pipe
c) 175.88 metres DN355 pipe
d) 13 Maintenance Holes
e) Other associated works.

Council will consider open trench excavation or directional drilling methodologies.
