ETA - Family and Domestic Violence Accommodation and Support Services Peel Womens Refuge

⁠⁠⁠Information: The Family and Domestic Violence Therapeutic Women’s Refuge Peel (Peel Refuge) will be a Western Australia first, delivering an innovative therapeutic service accessible to women and their children in a variety of circumstances (e.g. women with various cultural requirements, women with varying numbers of accompanying children or women with disability).

The therapeutic service model acknowledges the health impacts of family and domestic violence and will aim to provide tailored services to women with complex issues related to mental health and substance use.

To build upon the initial stakeholder engagement and consultation conducted in 2018, Communities intends to undertake a co-design process to further develop the service model and outcomes. This co-design process will include community service peak bodies, service providers, government agencies and those with lived experience.

Communities will undertake an Expression of Interest to identify suitable community service providers to participate in the co-design process. The intent following the co-design process is to form a long-term partnership with a community service provider to deliver the therapeutic service commencing November 2020.
