Design, Construction (including supply and installation of all equipment), and Testing of a new Synchronous Condenser Site

Tenders are invited by Powerlink Queensland for the design, supply (DDP incoterms), installation, commissioning (pre and post energisation) and making good of defects during the Defects Liability Period of a Synchronous Condenser unit to be installed at a new site adjacent to Powerlink Yabulu South substation in North Queensland. The Synchronous Condensers Unit shall be designed to supply a Short Circuit Power  in the range of 500 MVA to 600 MVA as measured at the 132 kV main bus as  Point of Common Coupling (PCC) as detailed in Specification SMM-193 Synchronous Condenser Item 2.

Tenderers must submit a tender that conforms to the specified requirements contained in the Invitation to Tender.   However, Tenderers may also submit alternate non-conforming tenders if they believe there are efficiencies in cost or optimisation in doing so.

An optional tender briefing will be carried out on 25/10/2019 commencing at 1:00PM at Powerlink head office at 33 Harold Street Virginia.  Prospective tenderers shall contact Graeme Osborne on (07) 3860 2825 by 18/10/2019, confirming their attendance.

Tenderers are to note that this project is currently un-approved and subject to Powerlink Board approval. The Tender may be cancelled, deferred, re-scoped and/or re-tendered at any point.  Tenders are submitted on the basis that all costs incurred during the tendering process are borne by the Tenderer, regardless if the tender proceed or does not.
