NSW Health / Invitation to Industry Open Day - Blood Culture Solutions - NSW Health Pathology Microbiology

⁠⁠⁠This is with a view to inform the development of the NSWHP blood culture testing service delivery model. Once the service delivery model is finalised it is anticipated that a Statewide Tender Procurement process will be undertaken later in 2019 to acquire the equipment, technology and associated reagents, consumables and services to support the microbiology blood culture testing service delivery model. The model will cover end to end blood culture services from collection, incubation, detection and notification of positives, identification and follow up activities and reporting.

NSWHP is also interested in exploring non-traditional technologies (including molecular) for detecting sepsis pathogens directly from whole blood. Vendors are encouraged to respond with non-traditional solutions that might improve patient care.

The harmonised solution will be implemented in all NSWHP clinical pathology sites identified in the service delivery model as blood culture testing sites as well as smaller sites that may not have testing capability.

As a result, NSWHP would like to invite suppliers, of the type of equipment, technology and associated services package, that they can offer, to be available to attend an open day, where they can present and discuss the latest technology available in their models and the future technology trends they are planning.

Please note that presentations must be short and contain no commercial material or proposals.

Dependant on the number of responses that are received to this invitation NSW Health Pathology reserve the right to select a cross section of suppliers to attend this event. Any selections made will be to ensure that NSWHP get input from a cross section of the market.

All suppliers, regardless of whether they are selected to present or not at this event, will have the opportunity to respond to any associated tender that may be issued at a later date.
