Financial Planning and Monitoring

⁠⁠⁠18190277 - The Skills and Workforce Capability (SWC) Group supports the South Australian Government to delivery the skills required by industry to support economic growth. Part of the Group’s role is the commitment and management of approximately $250M in funding annually, through the Department for Innovation and Skills.

The Financial Planning and Monitoring (FPM) Project has been initiated to improve the SWC Group’s budget control capacity and management of the Training Fund Budget provided to Vocational Education and Training.

Currently, numerous data extracts from existing systems and complex spreadsheets are utilised to obtain and manipulate data for manual performance monitoring, budget management and scenario modelling.

Skills and Workforce Capability have identified the need for a technical solution to reduce the highly labour and resource intensive activities necessary to support the financial planning and monitoring process.

The technical solution will consist of the following three components:

• Demand Management;
• Scenario Modelling; and
• Course Product Profile(s).
