Tender Description

This Tender is invited by the Issuer.

The IT Project Delivery Section is looking for an IT Project Support Officer (PSO) to provide diverse administrative and IT related project support tasks to specified projects aimed at modernising the Department’s IT landscape.


PSO Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers with project management activities including planning and delivery based on robust business cases and in partnership with the department’s business areas
  • Work with the project teams to administer and coordinate a range of activities and act as a point of contact for stakeholders to ensure clear timely and effective communication and coordination
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with technical professionals, team members and stakeholders
  • Assist in the production of project status reports and artefacts throughout the project lifecycle to meet expected business outcomes, schedules, costs and quality criteria
  • Identify and manage changes to projects in accordance with established processes and standards, and manage information flows across projects
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of projects using the department’s project management frameworks and product development approaches e.g. Prince2, MSP and Agile
  • Provide Secretariat support for Working Group and Steering Committees
  • Facilitate the successful adoption of project deliverables by business areas
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by Project Managers.

  • The ability to organise priorities, deal with significant and contentious issues and liaise with stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively through both verbal and written communications
  • The ability to analyse information, with strong attention to detail, in order to provide up to date data for use in IT reporting
  • Demonstrated experience providing highly organised coordination, stakeholder engagement and/or administrative support to projects or programs.
