⁠⁠⁠Cape Otway Road Safety Improvements - CH 0.110 to 5.442km

Project Objectives:

• Due to the narrow nature of the seal, undulating/bending road geometry and proximity of established native trees to the trafficable road shoulder, the key objectives of the project are;
• Widening sealed pavement to minimum 9.2m, comprising of two traffic lanes 3.1m wide and 1.5m wide sealed shoulders to allow two vehicles to comfortably pass without leaving the seal.
• Minor grade changes, cross fall adjustments and reshaping of batters and table drains for smooth travelling, improved site distance and drainage runoff.
• New seal shall provide for improved road contact and skid resistance (shoulders only)
• Line marking for improved traffic delineation and overtaking controls
