Psychological Therapies for People with Mental Illness Living in Residential Aged Care Facilities

⁠⁠⁠Interested parties are invited to submit a proposal to the South Western Sydney Primary Health Network (SWSPHN) in accordance with the instructions outlined in this document for the South Western Sydney Psychological Treatment Services for People with Mental Illness living in Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs).

The key objectives SWSPHN is seeking to address through commissioning Psychological therapies for People with Mental Illness Living in Residential Aged Care Facilities include:

• Improve availability and accessibility of psychological treatment for people living in RACFs with a diagnosed mental illness or who are at risk of mental illness
• Provide evidence-based, tailored, time-limited psychological therapies which are adjusted to be responsive to the needs of older people;
• Support RACFs to identify, support and care for residents living with mental illness and improve integration between mental health clinicians and RACF staff.
