Rehabilitation of Murradoc Rd, Drysdale

⁠⁠⁠Pavement Rehabilitation of Murradoc Road, Drysdale - CH 1.470 to 4.714km.

Project Objectives:

Due to the nature of undulating/bending road geometry and proximity of established native trees to the trafficable road shoulder, the key objectives of the project are;

• Rehabilitate existing pavement to maintain formation width min 10m width, comprising of two traffic lanes 3.5m wide and 1.5m wide sealed shoulders to allow two vehicles to comfortably pass without leaving the seal.
• Minor grade changes, cross fall adjustments and reshaping of batters and table drains for smooth travelling, improved site distance and drainage runoff.
• New seal shall provide for improved road contact and skid resistance
• Line marking for improved traffic delineation and overtaking controls
• Advanced warning and caution signage review and recommendations via independent Roads Safety Audit undertaken on the road upgrade design provided for this contract scope.
• Establishment of 13m clear zone with hazard protection utilising risk management methods such as driveable culvert end walls and hazard removal where specified on the drawings.
