Contract: New Water Main-Mill Rd, Mosston Rd & Clarkson Ave

⁠⁠⁠Whanganui District Council (WDC) are inviting tenders from suitably experienced contractors for a new water main from the Mill Rd area down Mosston Rd towards the Fitzherbert Ave. The scope of work includes but is not restricted to;

• The installation ONLY of principal-supplied watermain materials, of a length of 214m of DN100 PVC-M pipe, 780m of DN200 PVC-M pipe, and 810m of DN250 PVC-M pipe by open cut trenching.
• Installation of 4, 77, 45 metres of Nova SW main (DN450, DN315, DN630).
• The installation of 11 new fire hydrant, 4 Valve/Tee, 1 Wave Valve and associated streetwear.
• All manholes, chambers and/or other structures as required by the design.
• Relocation/realignment of all other utilities that may be required in order to deliver the scope.
• Connections of existing/new fire hydrant and private connections where needed.
• The flushing/disinfection and pressure testing of the new main.
• Management of high groundwater conditions if necessary
• Full reinstatement in line with existing conditions.
