Western Water is seeking a Principal Contractor(s) to undertake the construction of approximatetly 7.7 km of sewer rising main from the intersection of Grant Street & Peelmans Lane, Bacchus Marsh to the Bacchus Marsh Recycled Water Plant and approximately 790 m of DN225 PE water pipeline along Griffith Street and Parwan Road in Bacchus Marsh.

The procurement model will be a construction contract utilising AS2124-1992 (subject to amendments). Two separable portions will be involved:

Separable Portion No.1:

• Approximately 3 km of nominal DN375 DICL sewer rising main along the Bacchus Marsh - Geelong Road to Woolpack Road.
• Approximately 790 m of DN225 PE potable water pipeline along Griffith Street and Parwan Road in Bacchus Marsh.
• Both pipelines involve crossings of the Melbourne - Ballarat Railway Line.

Separable Portion No.2:

• Approximately 4.7 km of nominal DN600 MSCL sewer rising main from the intersection of the Bacchus Marsh - Geelong Road and Woolpack Road to the Bacchus Marsh Recycled Water Plant.

The separable portions may be awarded jointly to a single contractor or separately to two different contractors.

The procurement process will be via a public tender process.

Prospective tenderers will need to satisfy the Minsterial Directions for Public Construction Procurement criteria in regards to Occupation Health and Safety Management and Industrial Relations Management. The Local Jobs First policy will also apply to this procurement.
