To purchase specialist alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment services from a non-government organisation (NGO) AOD treatment provider with suitable experience, capability and capacity to deliver residential rehabilitation (for individuals and families), residential withdrawal management, and non-residential (day program) services in Rockhampton at two locations:

• a new North Rockhampton facility for residential (bed-based) services; and
• a centrally-located Rockhampton premises for non-residential (day program) services (i.e. suitably zoned, accessible by public transport and close to other relevant services).

North Rockhampton-based residential services will be delivered from a new purpose-built facility owned by Central Queensland (CQ) Hospital and Health Service (HHS) (location yet to be confirmed). Centrally-based day program services will be delivered from a site leased by the NGO.

Referrals from people and services located in Central Queensland, Central West, Wide Bay and Mackay HHS areas will be priorities. Services will be delivered in close partnership with CQ HHS, supported by formal governance mechanisms.
