This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation to suitably qualified respondent(s) to submit a Proposal for the delivery of a National Screening Unit (NSU) Audit Programme.
The purpose of the National Screening Unit (NSU) Audit Programme is to conduct regular external quality audits with NSU providers against the core quality requirements based on the screening programme quality standards and service requirements.
NSU is seeking an auditor organisation to conduct scheduled routine external quality assurance audits over a three-year term.
NSU, as the commissioner of all public health screening programmes in New Zealand, and as outlined in the service provider agreement, must assure through audit the screening provider is delivering to, or conforming to, the quality requirements of the agreement.
Each of the screening programmes have a range of service providers according to the requirements of the programme by example DHB funded laboratories, DHB maternity and colposcopy services, public and private medical imaging providers.
The five screening and one quality improvement programmes are;
- National Bowel Screening Programme • Newborn Metabolic Screening Programme
- National Cervical Screening Programme • Newborn Hearing Screening Programme
- Breast Screen Aotearoa • Antenatal Down Screening & Other Syndrome Quality Improvement
