Tender Description
Scope
- There is a switchboard for each segment of lights in Shamrock Street. These three switchboards are to be replaced by three new ones.
- The new switchboards are to be installed with a smart light sensitive control system that allows for a manual override.
- For OHS reasons the new switchboards are to be installed at a height that doe not need a ladder or platform to work on it and must be lockable.
- The new switchboards are to be spacious enough to allow for revenue meters and Wi-Fi systems, cameras and general power outlets if in the future council wishes to expand on services in that area.
- LED street lights are more energy efficient than the current HID globes and require very little maintenance. The light fixtures to be replaced by LED type lights that meet the approval of the Transport Main Roads Department.
- A new control system is required to prevent over activation and the wearing out of the lighting system.
- All new and existing cabling to be installed in trenches at a depth that meets the current electrical standards.
The Contractor must attend site to determine if there is any current infrastructure that is not compliant with current codes, regulations and standards. If the current infrastructure is deemed non-compliant then pricing must be itemised and included in the tender submission.
