Denutting of Coconut Palms

⁠⁠⁠Cairns Regional Council (the Principal) is seeking the services of experienced contractors to undertake biannual denutting of coconut palms throughout the Cairns region. A Preferred Supplier Arrangement (PSA) will be established for this purpose.

The Principal currently manages the largest stock of coconut palms (Cocos nucifera) of any other Council in Australia. The management of coconut palms is required for reasons of public safety, risk management, aesthetics and to control invasive plants in natural areas.

Enquiries: Tender enquiries, questions or clarifications should be directed via the online forum. Cairns Regional Council officers are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the tender. The forum will close five days prior to the closing time and date. Please ensure that all questions, information requests and clarifications are posted prior to this time.

We strongly recommend that you begin uploading your tender submission files at least two (2) hours BEFORE the tender closing time.

Closing Time and Date: The tender closes at 4:30 PM, Tuesday 24 November 2020. Submissions must be fully received by this time. Late, verbal or emailed tenders may not be accepted and will be subject to Council's sole discretion.

Submissions will not be opened publicly. The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted.

Council reserve the right to change the specifications prior to making a decision on the submissions received in response to this invitation.

Council may invite all Respondents to change their submission to take into account any change in the tender specifications.

Tenders are to remain valid for a period of 90 days from the Closing Time.
