TR-RF0203 Rhyndaston Tunnel Remediation

Closing date: 1 October 2019 at 2pm

TasRail is currently seeking the services of a suitably qualified, experienced and competent Tunnel work Contractor to tender a price for the remediation of the Rhyndaston Rail Tunnel in Southern Tasmania. The tender is for the whole of the Works, Including installation of rockbolts and mesh roof lining and backfill of the Southern disused construction air shaft below the existing brick pentices.

Key Points of Tender:

  • AS4000 Construction Contract
  • Rail Safeworking and Track Handback the responsibly of the Contractor;
  • Scheduled rail Traffic is not to be impacted by the construction works:
  • In-tunnel protection of rail from falling debris the works required;
  • Attendance at a compulsory site inspection on 11 September 2019;
  • Construction Industry White Card and Track Safety Awareness required for all persons attending site. Including the site Inspection;
  • Compliance with the Building Code 2016, the Australian Government Building and Construction Workplace Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme, Rail Safety National law (Tasmania) Act 2012, Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and other relevant regulations;
