Tender Description
Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council (QPRC), the Principal, is calling for tenders for suitably qualified and experienced tenders for the complete refurbishment of Rusten House.
Rusten House is a Local and State Listed heritage building formerly owner by the NSW State Government Health Department, and ownership, care and management of the site handed over to the (former) Queanbeyan City Council in 2015.
The Works includes but not limited to the internal and external refurbishment, new services including electrical, security, mechanical and hydraulic services. The Contract has provision for 2 sections of Optional Additional work comprising the construction of a new sealed carpark and entrance, and replacement of a failed retaining wall at the Collett Street frontage.
In preparation for the major refurbishment works the Principal has recently replaced most of the roof over the Building, (with a small section remaining to be completed under this contract).
Council intends to operate the newly refurbished building as an Art Gallery.
