Supply of Lifting Jacks, Bogie Turntables and a Bogie Press for Bellevue Depot

⁠⁠⁠Background

The PTA has embarked on a railcar procurement programme to acquire the next generation of electric railcars, it is anticipated that the new railcars will be assembled and tested at a facility to be constructed as part of a new Depot at Bellevue, WA.

The new Depot will support the medium to long term operations of the Fremantle, Midland and Armadale/Thornlie Lines. Operations at the Depot will evolve as its lifespan matures, moving from assembly of the C-series railcars through to the provision of routine maintenance of the B-series fleet and overhaul of all PTA rolling stock assets.

Scope of Requirement

This tender is for the supply of lifting jacks, bogie turntables and a bogie press for the railcar assembly and heavy maintenance facility; the selected supplier will liaise with the yet to be appointed Construction contractor to install the turntables and press at an appropriate time in the construction programme.

The scope of supply includes:
a) The design, supply, delivery, installation, commissioning, documentation and design registration of a bogie press.
b) The design, supply, delivery, installation, commissioning, documentation and design registration of bogie turntables.
c) Supply, testing and commissioning, documentation, training and design registration, of synchronised lifting jacks.
