Tender Description

This Tender is invited by the Issuer.

The Role:
Reporting to the Section Head COTS Support, Corporate Service, and as part of the Information Technology Business Intelligence Team, the Resource must undertake the following tasks:
a) In consultation with subject matter experts, develop logical and physical data models, based on the constraints of available data, that are optimised for ad-hoc analytical queries and operational reporting, including metadata definition.
b) Specify the Extract Load and Transform (ETL) processes required to transform source data to conform to the data models defined in a).
c) Develop and document Power BI reports, SAP BusinessObjects reports, and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) tabular models to facilitate access to the data models defined in a) and implemented as a result of b) to report consumers and report developers.
d) Attending design workshops and providing input to design process from a technical viewpoint.
e) Assisting with ad-hoc data design and analysis tasks as required.
f) Assist in the development of internal CASA staff.
Any other task as directed by the Section Head COTS Support.

The candidates provided must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Mandatory
a) Expert level experience in SQL in Oracle 11g/12c and SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2017.
b) Demonstrated experience in data modelling for an analytics environment.
c) Demonstrated ability to produce detailed technical ETL specifications based on data that reflects that available.
d) Demonstrated ability to develop (automated) analytical and operational reports.
e) Advanced experience with contemporary Business Intelligence / reporting / data visualisation tools.
f) At least five years' experience in data and BI analysis in an organisation/s of a similar size (or larger) to CASA (medium sized Commonwealth organisation).
g) Experience with working in a Project structure as well as the ability to work independently.
h) Communicates with influence, demonstrated technical writing skills and demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical
information to non-technical people.

Desirable
a) Experience with ETL tools including WhereScape Red, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Informatica PowerCenter
b) Experience with Microsoft CRM and SharePoint
c) Experience with programming languages .Net, R and Python.
d) Experience with data engineering using the Microsoft Azure stack.
e) Experience with the Microsoft BI stack (SSRS, SSAS, Power BI).
f) Experience with SAP BusinessObjects report development using Web Intelligence).
CASA will evaluate each Quotation using the Evaluation Criteria set out below, with reference to the Role Description.
a) Demonstrated experience producing technical and user guide documentation to a high standard across various infrastructure technologies, in particular as part of delivery of technical ICT projects;
b) Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering and collation of information required to draft suitable technical documentation;

Location
Based in Aviation House, Phillip, ACT the Resource must work (on average) 8 hours per day (40 hours per week) between the core hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
