Oakura WTP Bore

⁠⁠⁠New Plymouth District Council (NPDC) owns and operates the community water supply to the town of Oakura, which has a population of approximately 1400.

The existing water supply consists of two bores; OAB-100 (also known as 'WTP-M' or the 'Wairau Bore') and OAB-200 ('WTP-IL'). It was discovered recently that bore OAB-200 is damaged, and is therefore no longer used to supply potable water to Oakura.

The other existing supply bore OAB-100, is currently being used to meet the demand for potable water.

NPDC wish to replace the damaged bore, OAB-200 in time to meet the peak demand for potable water, which is experienced during summer.

The objective of this work is therefore to construct a new bore to replace OAB-200, as well as decommission the existing damaged bore.
