The City of Melbourne (Council) is seeking Expressions of Interest from consortia or individual commercial organisations with a proven ability to construct the Works.
Council House 2 (CH2) is located at 240 Little Collins Street, Melbourne. CH2 is a 10-storey building which houses the City of Melbourne Council staff. The building includes a basement level car park, ground floor retail and nine commercial office floors. CH2 was Australia's first building to be awarded a 6 Star Green Star design rating.
The existing chilled ceiling system is currently non-operational. The City of Melbourne wishes to reinstate the chilled ceiling system to provide full operational capacity. The works are likely to include the following:
1. Demolition and removal of redundant plant.
2. Refurbishment of the chilled ceiling panels.
3. Replacement of the chilled water pipework.
4. Modifications to the chilled and condenser water infrastructure and controls.
