Thames-Coromandel District Council are inviting tenders for construction of Wentworth Valley Backwash Discharge.
The works are for the construction of a new waste pipe from the Wentworth Valley Water Treatment Plant to the Widdison Wastewater Pump Station in the town of Whangamata.
The pipe will serve as a discharge for the filter backwash water of the Water Treatment Plant located on the Wentworth Valley Reservoir Site at 67 Wentworth Valley Road.
The works include the installation of approximately 1270m OD110 PE100 SDR13.6 pipe by open trenching and/or horizontal directional drilling along the reservoir access track, through paddock, along Wentworth Valley Road and crossing State Highway 25.
