Tender Description
The Cancer Institute NSW is a NSW Government agency charged with substantially improving cancer control through the NSW Cancer Plan (the Plan).
This will be achieved by:
* reducing the incidence of cancer in the community
* increasing the survival rate for people diagnosed with cancer
* improving the quality of life of people diagnosed and their carers
* providing a source of expertise on cancer control for the Government, health service providers, medical researchers and the general community.
A major program of the NSW Cancer Plan involves the provision of support services to people who smoke, to contribute to a reduction in the prevalence of smoking in NSW. Under the NSW Tobacco Strategy, the Institute has primary responsibility for the management of smoking cessation services in NSW, including the Quitline and iCanQuit.com.au.
