Racecourse Road To Seadown Watermain

⁠⁠⁠The project is located at approximately 5kms north of Amberley, which is 45kms north of Christchurch. The proposed watermain runs north-south from the corner of Racecourse/Stanton Road down Stanton Road, then east along Watties Road. Through an existing carrier pipe underneath the Railway line/SH1 then across farmland south to an existing reservoir at Seadown.

The proposed pipeline consist of approximately 4360 metres of DN250 PE100 PN12. There is approximately 2920 metres of pipe to layed in the road berm and the remaining 1440m is to be layed in farm paddocks.

There are a number of road crossings which will be installed by trenchless methods, also the alignment passes through peat land where a shingle raft foundation has to be constructed. The project also consists of SV valves, Air-valves and connections.

The contractor is to supply and install all the valves, fittings and all pipe welding. Hurunui District Council will supply the DN250 PE100 pipe on site.
