Tender Description
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) intends to approach the market to seek a suitable Supplier(s) to provide Helicopter(s) and Crew for its State Emergency Rescue Helicopter Service.
Prior to releasing a formal Request, DFES is conducting a ‘Market Sounding’ process - an opportunity for all potential Suppliers to review and provide feedback on the proposed approach to requirements and service delivery.
An industry sounding brief was held on Wednesday 3 July, 2019 and covered the following;
- Current services
- Lessons learned
- Future delivery concept
- High level procurement timeline
- Cost of service modelling
It was intended that a future Concept of Operations (CONOPS) would be shared with industry subsequent to the briefing to allow for industry feedback and enable DFES to refine strategic procurement options.
DFES now anticipates release of the CONOPS in October 2019.
To avoid repeated short schedule delays and the inconvenience they cause industry, DFES will also provide further advice in October regarding the anticipated date for release of the Request to the open market for the Provision of Helicopters and Crews.
