Brookvale Oval Playing Surface Renewal

⁠⁠⁠Northern Beaches Council Tender RFT 2019 / 051 Brookvale Oval playing surface renewal

Northern Beaches Council (Council) invites tenders for the carrying out and completion of major works for Brookvale Oval playing surface renewal. The scope of the works requires an appropriately qualified and experienced contractor to undertake a reconstruction of Brookvale Oval. This is a construction only tender.

A tender issue detail drawing set and associated detail design specification will be issued as an addendum to this tender on Monday 17th June 2019.

The reconstruction shall involve the following key activities:
* Demolition, removal and disposal of existing turf, lateral irrigation lines, drainage lines and soil profile to design depth.
* Construction of a new sand profile, consisting of a sand rootzone overlying a network of subsoil drains.
* Construction of a new irrigation system.
* Construction of a new subsoil drainage system.
* Supply and installation of new goals and footings for NRL rugby league and soccer box net goals.
* Turfing with washed Couch grass cultivar Santa Ana.
* Full establishment including and not limited to; irrigation management, mowing, applying fertilisers, herbicides, insecticides and topdressing. Refer to section 3000.6 Sporteng performance specification for details required for the Turf Installation, establishment and maintenance.

These indicative tender milestones are not binding on Council and may be subject to amendment in the absolute discretion of Council:
Release of Request for Tender 6th June 2019
Site Visit and Briefing 11am 13th June 2019
Tender Closing Date and Time 2pm 27th June 2019
Tender evaluation 27th June 2019
Notification of preferred Tenderer(s) 26th July 2019
Contract signing 12th August 2019

A Site briefing will be held on 13th June 2019 at the Brookvale Oval at 11am. Tenderers should ensure they review the tender documents and understand the scope of work before attending the briefing.

Tenders close at 2pm on 27th June 2019 and must be fully received by this time.

Submissions should be lodged in the electronic tender box or in the physical tender box at Northern Beaches Council, Civic Centre, 725 Pittwater Road, Dee Why, NSW 2099 by the time and date nominated. Late submissions may not be accepted.
