Purchase and Installation of a Certified Weighbridge at Vales Point Ash Dam

The Principal will consider the option of either installing a new weighbridge or relocating, commissioning, upgrading and certifying an existing weighbridge. The Principal at its sole discretion, may decide on either option and engage the relevant Portion in line with the Contract. The Contractor has no recourse to the Principal for not engaging both options.

LOCATION OF SITE
The Vales Point Power Station is located on the southern shore of Lake Macquarie, approximately 130 km north of Sydney, New South Wales, and approximately 3 km off the Pacific Highway North of Doyalson.

EXTENT OF WORK
The Works consists of one (1) or two (2) of three (3) Optional Portions. The Optional Portions are as follows:
(i) Optional Portion One - The installation, commissioning and Certification of a weighbridge at Vales Point Power Station Ash Dam (specified under Clause 4.8)
or
(ii) Optional Portion Two - The relocation, commissioning, upgrade and certification of the weighbridge at the Delta Coal Chain Valley Colliery site to the Vales Point Power Station Ash Dam site (specified under Clause 4.9)
and/or
(iii) Optional Portion Three - The installation, commissioning and Certification of a weighbridge management system (to be installed on the weighbridge installed by the Contractor under either Portion 1 or Portion 2) at Vales Point Power Station Ash Dam (specified under Clause 4.10)

NOTE: All Portions are at The Principal's option. The Principal at its sole discretion reserves the right to omit or include any individual item of the works at any time during the course of the Contract by written notice to the Contractor, with which the Contractor must comply. The Contractor will make no assumption as to the works content to be undertaken under the Optional Portions. The Principal reserves the sole right to exercise these Optional Portions.

INSPECTION OF SITE
There will be no pretender meeting for this works however, Tenderers are invited to visit the site to carry out site inspections to make it-self familiar with conditions thereon and rules and procedures applying to the Site. Personnel attending the site will be signed in as a Visitor and should present themselves to the Security gate house.

Visitors to the Site must provide and wear their own safety hats, safety footwear, protective safety eyewear, long sleeved shirts and long trousers or combination overalls.

Accredited representatives of firms proposing to attend a site visit and inspection must contact the: The Principal Contract Representative below at least 24 hours prior.
