Tree Maintenance Services
Tender ID: 386475
Tender Details
Tender Description
Waipa District Council maintains approximately 6000 trees in nine communities. Council also maintains approx. 100 protected trees on private property within the urban towns. Our rural and urban Parks and Reserves also contain a significant number of established trees. Premier Reserves such as Te Koo Utu Park in Cambridge and Memorial Park in Te Awamutu have a wide range of tree species and ages.
Maintenance services have until now been done on a scheduled work programme plus dispatched on a customer request/complaint system, through an arboricultural contractor. As the maintenance contract is now expiring, Waipa District Council would like to begin a Level of Service based planned maintenance contract to improve the efficiency of maintenance operations, thereby improving value for cost.
As this methodology of a planned maintenance contract is new for the Council, a Competitive Dialogue process has been chosen to collaborate with the industry to determine possible and preferred contract terms.
Waipa District Council is inviting arboricultural contractors experienced in delivering similar contracts successfully, to participate in a Competitive Dialogue process to develop contract management solutions that will meet the needs of both the council and the contractor.
