Karepa Street Footpath and Traffic Improvements

⁠⁠⁠Wellington City Council invites tenders from suitably qualified contractors to complete the scope of work provided in the tender documents. The project, located on Karepa Street, Brooklyn, involves;

• Between Apuka Street and Ashton Fitchett Drive, construction of a 1.5m wide footpath on the west side of Karepa Street to connect with existing footpaths at the two intersections (approximately 300m length).
• Construction of timber pole retaining walls for additional road width.
• Formalising the current gravel parking area on the west side of Karepa Street opposite house #59.
• Construction of a one-way section on Karepa Street where the carriageway width is limited, to maximise parking and minimise retaining requirements.
• Construction of new sumps and a stormwater outlet.

Tenderers are expected to have suitable relevant experience and the quality management systems to undertake the contract work.
