Scope of work:
To remove and replace the skew bearing of a bridge reclaimer in a structured and safe manner. This will include all aspects associating with the task including scaffold access, and crane lift operations. During installation, a lubrication system shall be installed into the current design. As built design, drawings of the lubrication system will need to be provided.
The contractor is to engineer, fabricate and install certain jacking pads and mounting plates, which become a permanent part of the machine. The additional components include:
• 4x Upper jacking pads on the underside of the bridge around the skew bearing.
• 4x Lower jacking pads on the top part of the fixed leg structure around the skew bearing.
• 2x Upper jacking pads beneath the E-House.
• 3x Upper stabbing guide mounting plates on the bridge structure.
• 3x Lower stabbing guide mounting plates on the fixed leg structure.
• 2x Crab to pendulum leg brace mounting clevises on the cross-travel crab.
• 2x Crab to pendulum leg brace mounting clevises on the pendulum leg.
