Potential upcoming tender opportunity

The Queensland Government, acting through the Department of Housing and Public Works - Building and Asset Services will be releasing an invitation to tender (ITT) on behalf of Queensland Health and Cairns and Hinterland Hospital, Health Services inviting contractors to submit an offer for the following project within the Far North Queensland region:

Project: Cairns South Health Facility

Overview:
The CSHF has been developed as a multi-purpose facility, to operate in both ordinary use as a community health facility and extraordinary use as an alternative service site for emergency care in disaster events.

To deliver valuable health services to the public year-round (not just in times of disaster) a key objective of the facility is for all functional areas to be able to be utilised through-out the year for community health and ambulatory care operations.

The functions developed for the multi-purpose facility are outlined below:
* Ordinary Use:
* Large consult spaces for community health
* Regular sized consult spaces for community health
* Group education room
* Therapy room
* Renal bays
* Support and administration services to aid the community services listed above
* Extraordinary Use as an alternative health care disaster facility in Southern Cairns:
* Operating Theatre
* Procedure Room
* High Dependency room
* ED resus bays
* ED bays
* Support and administration services to aid the clinical services listed above

Invitation to Offer:
The ITO is anticipated to go to market on the Building and Asset Services eTender website https://www.hpw.qld.gov.au/bas/etender/ in June 2019

Where a PQC Level is stated, the Principal is not obliged to provide tender documents, consider or accept a tender unless the tenderer is appropriately registered under the Queensland Government's PQC System for the PQC Level (or higher) and categories for which the tender is invited.
