Taranaki Regional Council (TRC or the Buyer) would like to enhance and develop our presentation of TRC information, external access to data and associated online services. TRC recognises that our customer base is diverse and cuts across the entire Taranaki community as well as different sector groups. TRC’s service offerings are similarly diverse and include both regulatory and non-regulatory services. The intention of this project is to maximise customer experience by developing our information access and online services value proposition.
TRC is looking towards the creation of a common platform that will enable the presentation of different datasets in a spatial and tiered model so that customers can access comprehensive, real time information at either a high or more in-depth level and also from a regional to property scale. The intention is to maximise the user’s ability to customise what information they wish to access, while also providing them with a one-stop-shop to all relevant information to their query. The product must be easily navigable, and users should find the use of it intuitive. TRC expects that in part it will need to be spatially based i.e. by property.
TRC would be looking for support post implementation and this may include the adapting the product to integrate with new databases and sources of information. We envisage this as the start of a long-term relationship with our supplier that will continue to evolve with changes in the environment (including legal, technical and political influences) in which TRC operates. As such, the product and the supplier will need to be flexible and adaptable.
