Insurance and Care NSW (icare) protects, insures and cares for the people, businesses and assets of NSW. It provides workers compensation insurance to more than 326,000 employers in NSW and their 3.2 million employees.
The NSW Self Insurance Corporation (Insurance for NSW) is a statutory body which was established by the NSW Self Insurance Corporation Act 2004 . It operates NSW Government’s managed fund schemes and has the power to enter into service agreements or arrangements in relation to the operation of those schemes.
The largest scheme under Insurance for NSW is the Treasury Managed Fund (TMF) which provides NSW Government Agencies with asset and liability protection. This includes workers compensation protection for their employees.
icare, on behalf of the NSW Self Insurance Corporation, is seeking to select one or more claims management service providers (Claims Managers) to provide claims management services for workers compensation claims within its TMF portfolio. The Claims Manager(s) must have the capability to implement and deliver the Service Model and TMF Operating Model.
