Horizon Power invites suitably qualified Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contractors to submit a response to the Horizon Power Request for Tender (RFT) for the Remote Communities Centralised Solar Project. The project aims to install Photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions in the remote Aboriginal communities of Kalumburu and Warmun. Warmun does not include BESS solutions.
Tenderers will be able to submit responses for either site individually, or for both sites.
The scope of the EPC works includes:
* Civil site works inclusive of land clearing, levelling, fencing and associated works;
* Design, installation, and testing of the PV farm and BESS;
* Connection and integration inclusive of commissioning and energisation.
Horizon Power is committed to implementing the State Government’s Aboriginal Procurement Policy and Western Australian Industry Participation Strategy (WAIPS). To support these objectives, Horizon Power is seeking EPC Contractors who can demonstrate an active commitment to engaging local Aboriginal contractors and suppliers, and providing local employment opportunities and engagement.
