The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for Operations and Maintenance Services for the Mount Isa Water Board.
Mount Isa Water Board (MIWB) is a Category 1 Water Authority under the Water Act 2000 (Water Act), which operates as a commercialised statutory authority, carrying out water activities in the State of Queensland.
Operation and maintenance of MIWB assets is currently contracted to an external party in an arrangement established in 1976. The current arrangement no longer meets the needs of MIWB in their modern organisational context. MIWB is considering alternative arrangements for operation and maintenance of the assets. MIWB intends to outsource some, or all, of the services to external Suppliers with the required capability and capacity, and the proven track record in performing similar services over the longer term. It may also undertake some of the services in-house.
MIWB is therefore keen to receive submissions from Suppliers who have the capability to provide relevant categories of services. MIWB will then evaluate the capacity and capability of Suppliers which have submitted EOI’s, and determine a shortlist of prequalified Suppliers who may then be invited to tender for operation support and maintenance contract or contracts.
