DSC2019-085 - Following on from flooding events in early 2017, the batter of the Cape Tribulation Bloomfield Road at Woobadda Creek was damaged. Shortly after the event, the road was temporarily stabilised with available fill and placed rock to reinstate the road and re-open the site to traffic.

The monsoonal event earlier this year further damaged the site and resulted in additional loss of the road formation. Permanent works are now required to stabilise the slipped areas, provide protection against damage from future flooding and to reinstate the road to it pre-event running width. It is envisaged that a gabion structure (or similar) would be required to achieve the permanent repair.
