Expressions of interest are invited from local residents/ratepayers to participate in an Advisory Group to develop options for a Master Plan to facilitate improved shared use and strategic management of the foreshore area surrounding the Prosser River Mouth.
The purpose of developing a Master Plan is to improve the amenity of the area for all users, whilst protecting the important environmental values within the Orford Bird Sanctuary.
The Advisory Group will make recommendations to Council and will meet on a monthly basis. It is expected that a draft Master Plan with associated options will be presented to Council within four months of the group being formed.
Up to four residents/ratepayers will be selected by Council as members of the group, along with representatives from invited stakeholder organisations.
Expressions of interest providing details of relevant experience and interest in the area (of no more than one page) should be received by 5pm on Friday 3 May 2019 and may be submitted via email to generalmanager@freycinet.tas.gov.au or by phoning Council’s Acting General Manager on 6256 4777.
