Tender Description

HEW/08/2019 - Logan City Council is seeking a suitably experienced, equipped or qualified Contractor for the provision of Green Waste Management at its five (5) waste handling facilities for the purpose of diverting the material from landfill.

For the purpose of this contract green waste may be regarded as including, but not limited to, waste vegetation (including tree stumps and trunks that are capable of being fitted into transport trucks) and processed vegetative products (including timber, chipboard, medium-density fibreboard and manufactured timber products).

The five waste handling facilities where green wastes are separately stockpiled are the:

* Browns Plains Waste and Recycling Facility (41 Recycle Way, Heritage Park);
* Carbrook Waste and Recycling Facility (35-63 Fabian Road Cornubia - entry via 1801 Mount Cotton Road Cornubia);
* Greenbank Waste and Recycling Facility (124-142 Pub Lane New Beith);
* Logan Village Waste and Recycling Facility (1406-1432 Waterford-Tamborine Road Logan Village); and
* Beenleigh Waste and Recycling Facility (15 Wuraga Road Beenleigh).

The Final Date for Accepting Questions

The final date for accepting questions regarding this tender via the LG tender boxForum, is 5:00pm Thursday, 16 May 2019. Any questions after this date will not receive a response.

Tender Site Visit

A tender site visit will be held for tenderers on 1 May 2019, commencing at BrownsPlains Waste and Recycling Facility (41 Recycle Way, Heritage Park) at 9.00 am.Following this site visit, tenderers will be invited to visit the remaining sites in thefollowing order:

* Greenbank Waste and Recycling Facility (124-142 Pub Lane NewBeith);
* Logan Village Waste and Recycling Facility (1406-1432 Waterford-Tamborine Road Logan Village);
* Beenleigh Waste and Recycling Facility (15 Wuraga Road Beenleigh);and
* Carbrook Waste and Recycling Facility (35-63 Fabian Road Cornubiaentry via 1801 Mount Cotton Road Cornubia).

A safety requirement of the site briefing is that all attendees must be wearing as a minimum, steel cap safety boots and a wide brimmed hat.

Attendance at the tender site visit is not mandatory.

Respondents are to contact (email: contractsrequests@logan.qld.gov.au) by 12.00pm, 30 April 2019 advising the names of those proposing to attend the tender site visit. A maximum of two representatives per company are able to attend the briefing.

Attendees should present at Browns Plains Waste and Recycling Facility (41 Recycle Way, Heritage Park), no later than 10 minutes prior to the time allocated. The tender site visit is expected to conclude by 1.00pm.

A consolidated set of questions and answers from the briefing session will be issued to all prospective tenderers, whether they have attended or not, through the LG Tender Box forum.
