The Water Security Infrastructure - Stage 1 Project for the Haughton Pipeline Duplication consists of a new bulk water supply scheme with capacity to transfer 234 ML/day of raw water from the Upper Haughton Irrigation Channel (UHIC) to Toonpan Creek at the head of the Ross River Dam (RRD), to contribute to meeting the bulk water supply for Townsville.
The Water Security Infrastructure - Stage 1 Project will provide extra capacity of 234 ML/day in addition to the existing capacity of the existing Haughton Pipeline being around 122 ML/day.
The works cover the supply, factory testing, delivery and onsite commissioning support for four (4) submersible pumpsets to Townsville City Council (TCC).
