AF19/108 - This tender is for the construction of a Changing Places Facility at the existing James Street Amenities in Mount Gambier (18 James Street).
Changing Places toilets are widely recognised as an example of best practice to enable people with a disability to participate in society with more independence and dignity. They provide an accessible toilet design including a height adjustable adult sized change table, a tracking hoist system, non-slip flooring and increased space to accommodate a person in a wheel chair and up to two carers.
Construction is to commence prior to 30 June 2019 and to be completed no later than 28 September 2019. Tenderers will need to provide a firm commitment to Council's timeframe.
The Facility will be built in accordance with:
* the architectural specification;
* the architectural drawings; and
* the structural drawings.
