Tender Description
“TENDER RELEASED”
Council will be replacing the existing Audio Consoles in the RPAC Concert Hall (CH), Auditorium and Gallery Foyer with new Digital Audio Consoles. The existing Audio Consoles are still operable but are aged in design and have limited function with supporting varied productions from local, national and international artist. The existing Audio Consoles are Yamaha LS9 32 channel mixer (CH), Sound Craft GB4 Auditorium, and a Midas M32R in the Gallery. These Consoles are no longer favoured for the performance spaces such as these, and are not current or in line with other competitors.
Consistent with the preference of requested Consoles, the upgraded Consoles will be Digital Audio Consoles. There are significant advantages to upgrading all Consoles across all venues including;
* Better acceptance by clients and sound operators;
* A recognised ‘best practice’ solution providing improved performance, consistent with peer venues;
* High level of control, which is important for these venues;
* Proven performance in venues.
The new Consoles will need to be integrated with the existing patch systems and work with our current Rio Stage Rack (RIO 3234D). Further detail on the proposed Digital Audio Consoles can be found in Section 3.2, 3.4 and 3.6 of this specification. NOTE: clients also use Dante Audinate software to capture a multitrack recording of their events.
