Tender Description

The Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park Co-management Board is calling for expressions of interests from an Adnyamathanha person or Adnyamathanha Service Provider to commercially muster goats within Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park.

The removal of goats is to complement parks conservation programs and must be undertaken in accordance with the Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park ‘Removal of Goats from Parks by Commercial Operators Policy and Procedure’.

The removal of goats will occur by entering into a Commercial Agreement with an operator who uses mustering and trapping methods, resulting in minimal impact on the environment.

The Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park Co-management Board preference is to engage an Aboriginal Community Entity, and some of profits raised by the sale of goats should be directed to the relevant local community.

Commercial Mustering of Goats will primarily occur along the Wilkawillina area in the first instance, other areas may be included by the Contract Manager.

The Expression of Interest criteria is available from DEW staff - Alan Harbour, Ranger-in-Charge Northern Flinders on 8648 0049 or Arthur Coulthard, Senior Cultural Ranger Adnyamathanha on 8648 4829.

Written submissions should be emailed to alan.harbour@sa.gov.au or forwarded to:
