North Sydney Council Northern CBD Planning Study

⁠⁠⁠North Sydney Council requires a Head Consultant specialised in Urban Design or Planning to coordinate and directly appoint all specialist input required from sub-consultants. The Head Consultant will be responsible for producing a holistic, and integrated Precinct Planning Study.

About the opportunity
North Sydney Council is seeking requests for quotation for the appointment of an experienced consultant to coordinate and prepare an integrated Precinct Planning Study for the area to the north of the Central Business District.

About the project
The Precinct Planning Study must integrate the input from other specialists producing a comprehensive basis for alignment of the Urban Design & Planning of the study area with the ten Strategic Directions of the Greater Sydney Commission's North District Plan and considers and incorporates the implications of the new North Sydney northern Metro station portal.

In summary the study should:

Ascertain the existing planning control framework and constraints

Ascertain the implications of the new northern Metro portal on the study area.

Ascertain the requirements of the community and key stakeholders

Identify the desired future character and produce a 'community brief' for public benefit and infrastructure improvements.

Produce a number of scenarios for the future of the study area

Identify the preferred future scenario for the study area

Produce documentation for the Precinct Planning Study

Produce and coordinate a Public Exhibition

Incorporate feedback and produce a final data and documentation for handover
