Tender Description
DHS-157 This program will include provision of capacity building support and training to eligible South Australian youth services regarding Our Watch’s national primary prevention framework Change the Story and supporting resources such as Changing the Picture, followed by an opportunity for Service Providers to access a one-off, small grant up to $5,000 for new or unfunded primary prevention initiatives.
The grant opportunity will be open to youth sector services to plan and implement primary prevention initiatives that aim to:
* build the capacity of vulnerable young people through direct participation addressing the drivers of domestic, family and sexual violence, and encouraging healthy, safe and respectful relationships;
* raise awareness through community mobilisation and strengthening; and
* engage young people in the development of communication and social marketing initiatives.
This primary prevention community capacity building and grants program is a Department of Human Services initiative, administered in partnership between the Community Services Directorate (CSD) and the Office for Women (OFW).
