Tender Description
AF18/419 The City of Mount Gambier uses approximately 3000 tonnes of asphalt annually as part of its road construction program, with asphalt being placed on jobs such as bike paths, new roads and roundabouts and heavy industrial roadways. Council will continue the usage of asphalt in the reconstruction of intersections and as overlay treatment to some roadways.
This contract is designed to improve quality standards of asphalt being supplied and placed on Council's road network, and to ensure product consistency, quality and value for money.
This tender specification for the annual supply and placement of asphalt is based on the national asphalt specification. All referenced documents and Australian Standards are to be considered to form part of the contract specification and the contract documentation. It is a requirement of this specification that all requirements of the national asphalt specification, as applicable to this contract are met.
The period of supply will commence on 1 July 2019 for a period of two years, up to and including 30 June 2021.
