The following summary indicates the general nature of the Works for which The Principal desires Tenders to be submitted and is issued to enable Contractors to make an assessment whether the Specification documents should be obtained from The Principal for the purpose of submitting a tender response. It does not form part of the Specification and should not be included as part of the Tenderer's offer.

The Contractor is responsible for Attemperating Pumps Preventative Winter Maintenance and Repairs for a period of two (2) years at Vales Point Power Station.

The Principal has an expectation that its Contractors will be undertaking continuous improvement leading to efficiencies that may be reflected in a contract extension. Upon successful Practical Completion of Portion within this agreement and a review of the Contractor’s performance, a further agreement may be negotiated, at the discretion of The Principal.

The Vales Point Power Station is located on the southern shore of Lake Macquarie, approximately 130 km north of Sydney, New South Wales, and approximately 3 km off the Pacific Highway North of Doyalson.

Carry out the overhaul and agreed repairs to the Vales Point Power Station Attemperating pump fleet within the winter months, in order to maintain pump reliability and minimise plant load reduction during the summer months. The current Vales Point Attemperating pump fleet consists of eight (8) off Flygt submersible pumps. Seven (7) off Model PL 7115-905 and one (1) off Model PL 7121-905. Both models are interchangeable and come with 225kW 415 Volt 3 Phase 50Hz motors.

Visitors to the Site must provide and wear their own safety hats, safety footwear, protective safety eyewear (clear glasses), long sleeved shirts (hi-vis) and long trousers or combination overalls (hi-vis).
