Recycled Water Reuse Main & SSRM - CBTP to Murray

⁠⁠⁠Supply and Construction of Recycled Water Reuse Main and Southern Suburbs Rising Main - Cleveland Bay Purification Plant to Murray Sporting Complex Plus Branch to South Townsville - Separable Portion 1, 2 and 3

Southern Suburbs Rising Main:
The Southern Suburbs Rising Main (SSRM) is part of an overall scheme which has been initiated by Townsville City Council in order to alleviate pressure on the existing sewerage infrastructure in the southern suburbs of Townsville. As part of this scheme Pump Station S21, located at the corner of University Drive and Yolanda Drive, and a short length of the sewer rising main parallel to University Drive was constructed in the year 2015. The SSRM will connect Pump Station S21 with the Cleveland Bay Purification Plant.

Recycled Water Scheme:
The recycled water re-use scheme is a key component in Council's 3-point water security solution and includes re-using water for public parklands, sports fields and industrial use.

A substantial section of the recycled water pipes will be laid in conjunction with the separate Southern Suburbs Rising Main upgrade.

Scope of this Tender:
This tender includes in general the following main components:
* Supply and construction of approximately 7,600m length of DN710/DN900/DN1000 (OD) Polyethylene sewer rising main; this is the Southern Suburbs Rising Main section from Murray Sporting Complex through to the Cleveland Bay Purification Plant.
* Supply and construction of approximately 7,600m length of DN280/355 and 2xDN355 (OD) Polyethylene pipe for the Recycled Water Reuse Scheme parallel to the Southern Suburbs Rising Main.
* Supply and construction of approximately 3,500m length of DN225/180 (OD) Polyethylene pipe for the Recycled Water Reuse Scheme from Oonoonba through to the NQ Stadium (Recycled Water Main 1).
* Supply and construction of approximately 600m length of DN180/90 (OD) Polyethylene pipe for the Recycled Water Reuse Scheme from the Civic Theatre through to Town High and Reid Park South (Recycled Water Main 2 and Reid Park South Connection Branch).
* Supply and construction of approximately 350m length of DN180 (OD) Polyethylene pipe for the Recycled Water Reuse Scheme Crossing the Ross River at Bowen Road (Recycled Water Main 3).

The scope of works included in this tender has been split into 3 Separable Portions as follows:
* Separable Portion 1 - Supply and installation of the Recycled Water Reuse Main and the Southern Suburbs Rising Main from Murray Sporting Complex through to Abbott Street (SSRM Ch. 7065)
* Separable Portion 2 - Supply and installation of the Recycled Water Reuse Main and the Southern Suburbs Rising Main from Abbott Street (SSRM Ch. 7065) through to the Cleveland Bay Purification Plant
* Separable Portion 3 - Supply and installation of the Recycled Water Reuse Main from Abbott Street through to the NQ Stadium.
