Vacant Land – Seeking Expressions of Interest

⁠⁠⁠Lismore City Council, as appointed Crown Land Manager for Albert Park Reserve (R89503), are seeking expressions of interest for use of the vacant land fronting Keen Street on the northern side of the basketball stadium (south of Bernstein Street). The land has been used for grazing in the past, however, Council are willing to consider alternative uses or use of only part of the area.

The land is partially fenced along Keen Street and Bernstein Street (shown blue on the image), however would require internal fencing to be undertaken at the applicant’s cost to keep stock east of the Wilson Walking Track (indicative fencing required shown red on the image). The applicant will also be responsible for arranging their own water connection at a cost of approximately $1900. Other terms and conditions will apply.

The grazing licence will be limited to 12 months under section 2.20 of the Crown Land Management Act 2016, however, there is the potential to renew each year.

There are no cattle yards on the land. You are encouraged to inspect the site before making an application to Council to ensure it is suitable for your needs.
