2019 RTIO Rehabilitation Monitoring Programme

⁠⁠⁠Scope of Work
Undertake an assessment of rehabilitation establishment and development at several Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) operational sites across the Pilbara.

A suite of vegetation, fauna and erosion parameters are measured to give an indication of rehabilitation quality.

Monitoring tools such as; transect based vegetation counts, fauna habitat indicators and erosion measurements, Ecosystem Function Analysis (EFA) and Rehabilitation Qualitative Assessment (RQA), previously Borrow Pit and Historic Rapid Assessment, will be employed.

All sites require data collection as per the Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) rehabilitation monitoring procedure.
