1) GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
* 14 tonne self propelled pad foot single drum vibrating roller.
* Powered by Diesel engine not less than 127hp (95kw).
* Hydrostatic drive.
* Air-conditioned / heated cabin.
* Fuel tank capacity of no less than 250 litres.
* Maximum width 2300 mm.
* Steel scraper for pad foot roller.

2) ENGINE:
* Diesel engine not less than 127hp (95kw).
* Current Emission control system.
* Bonnet to have tilt capability that will allow access to the engine for ease of maintenance.
* Preference may be given based on engine accessibility for maintenance.

INTAKE SYSTEM:
* Primary and secondary engine air filter fitted with a centrifugal type pre cleaner.
* Automatic dust extraction system.
* Restriction indicator.

FUEL SYSTEM:
* Fuel tank capacity of no less than 250 litres.
* Racor style filter/water separator system.
* Lockable fuel cap (Desirable).

LUBRICATION SYSTEM:
* Full flow disposable spin on style filters.
* Good accessibility for service.
* Easily accessible drain points.

EXHAUST SYSTEM:
Must comply with all relevant Australian Design Rules.

COOLING SYSTEM:
* Adequate capacity to cover temperatures ranging from minus 10 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees Celsius.
* System to be filled with corrosive inhibiting anti freeze anti boil coolant.

3) TRANSMISSION and DRIVELINE

5) ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:

* Heavy duty battery master switch.

6) OPERATOR'S STATION/CABIN:
* Integrated air-conditioning and heating.
* Radio/CD (minimum) to be provided.
* UHF radio.
* High quality air suspension seat. Seat belt to be fitted and not to impede the suspension movement.
* Grab handles to maintain three points of contact.
* Dual external rear view mirrors.
* Sun visor.
* Lighting suitable for safe night operation including two work lights mounted at the top front of the cabin and two work lights at the rear of the cabin.
* Engine and drive function monitoring system.
* Non-skid tread, warning labels, safety rails and handrails as required by the risk assessment (conforming with any applicable WorkCover or industry occupational health and safety standards) on all access points.

7) SAFETY EQUIPMENT:
* Two revolving warning lights mounted on top of the cabin with guards.
* Reverse warning alarm and any other equipment required for RMS and
* WorkCover compliance; reversing alarm automatically activated when
* reverse gear is selected.
* All windows to be of tinted glass to RMS requirements.
* Adequate steps and non-slip surfaces for access on and around cab and chassis.

* Compliant with Plant Assessor risk assessment.
* 4.5kg dry powder fire extinguisher.
